Test Format:
Paper I          (Listening)   
4 sections, 40 questions in 30 minutes (sec. I conversation 2 speakers.
Sec. II monologue, sec. III conversation 4 speakers and sec. IV a lecture)

Paper II         (Reading)     
3 sections, 40 questions, 3 passages in 60 minutes


Paper III       (Writing)               
2 tasks in 60 minutes: Task I Descriptive report of a table/diagram of 150
words in 20 minutes. Task 2 an essay in response to an opinion or problem of 250 words in 40
minutes.

Paper IV        (Speaking)               
11-14 minutes. Part I. Face-to-face interview and introduction – 4-5
minutes, Part II. Individual Talk 1-3 minutes, incl. prep. Part III. Discussion topics 4-5 minutes.  
Note: The first three papers are taken in one day. Paper IV can be taken any other day.

Band Descriptions:             0- Didn’t attempt the test: 1- Non-use : 2-Intermittent user: 3-Extremly limited user: 4-Limited User: 5-Modest User: 6-Competent User: 7-Good User: 8-Very Good User: 9- Expert User.
