The Traveler

Travelling is my oxygen

Mark Jenkens said, “Wanderlust is incurable” and I say that the treatment of wanderlust is wanderlust. For me, traveling is oxygen. It inspires in me the spirit to be up and kicking. Traveling is where I feel most comfortable and myself again among the stunning landscape of nature and the people surrounding me during my travel adventures.

Vagabond by Mind and Body

If I am anything, I am a vagabond by mind and body. So, when I am not teaching and training, I am falling in love with life. I am caught by astounding sunsets, hustled by the markets, struck by the missed trains, beaten by the track, fascinated by skies, captured by landscapes, swept by storms, cast by the shores, supported by courage, enlightened by stories, excited out of the blue and entertained by myself.

I took the one less traveled by,
And that’s has made all the difference.

The Road Not Taken

Experiences

I suffer in both Urdu and English. I like new people.
Strangers know me. I am a Resident of Ancient Civilizations,
a Roamer of Deserts and Forests,
a Disciple of Waterfalls,
a Dreamer of Valleys, a Rambler of Streets, and a Captive of the Seas
– I am a Romancer of the Far.

Muhammad Naeem

You can find me strolling from the historical city of Lahore to the spiritual bliss of Multan, the sweltering heat of Cholistan, the ancient streets of Mohenjodaro, the sleeping dead of Makli Necropolis near Thatta and the most modern visage of Karachi. And again, you can find me collected in the cool breezes of Murree, the Paradise of Skardu, Hunza and the snowflakes of Swat. I have had a wide range of experiences from most of my travel pursuits. Byron says:

There’s a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There’s a rapture on the lonely shore,
There’s society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and the music in its roar,
I love not man the less, but Nature more…

– Lord Byron

Traveling is the Real-world

فکر دنیا میں سر کھپاتا ہوں میں میں کہاں اور یہ وبال کہاں؟ (غالب)

Traveling is the real world for real experiences, real people, real emotions. Most of our life is spent in mechanical and mundane routines which makes us mechanical too. Traveling gives us the real-world to enjoy and think about ourselves and others in calm and peaceful moments of the journey. It’s being real and natural in both form and content.

I travel not to escape life but for life not to escape me.
